Born With Wings

I came into this world just 100 yards from a runway, born at home into a family of dreamers and doers. By seven, I was working at my great grandmother’s five-star inn, washing dishes, giving tours, and doing whatever it took to buy my first big dream: an airplane.

I wasn’t chasing luxury. I was chasing escape, purpose, and something bigger than what I saw around me.

The Business That Wasn’t Meant to Be

At 13, I bought that airplane as a kit. ADHD and complicated instructions don’t mix, and the project was a mess. But that “failure” sparked something real. I launched one of the first online aircraft sales businesses in 1999.

I dropped out of high school and went all in on learning from mentors in the rising world of internet marketing. By my late teens, I was building companies and speaking on stages across the country.

Called Into Alignment

In 2009, I married Nelle. Weeks later, after one of the biggest speaking wins of my life, she looked me in the eye under the Texas stars and asked: “Do you even like what you do?”

That question wrecked me. And rebuilt me.

Together, we pivoted. We started a photography business that let us travel the world and build from a place of joy. That joy reignited my love for aviation and set me on a new flight path.

Building the Sky from the Ground Up

In 2011, I discovered paramotors. A fan on your back, a glider above your head, and the whole sky in front of you. The industry was messy and unprofessional. I saw the gap and decided to fill it.

We built Aviator Paramotor from nothing. Today, it’s one of the most recognized training programs in the world, employing over 20 people and generating millions each year. But the win wasn’t just the business. It was building something that aligned with who I truly was.

The Cracks That Let the Light In

Life has hit hard. I’ve broken my back twice. Lost my younger brother James. Watched my sister become a quadriplegic. Said goodbye to more friends than I can count.

But I believe in redemption. In growth through grit. I can silver lining the hell out of anything, and that mindset has saved my life more than once.

The Real Wealth

These days, I live in Austin, Texas with Nelle and our three wild, beautiful kids: August, Arthur, and Eloise. I’ve stepped out of the daily grind of Aviator and into something deeper, coaching, consulting, and mentoring founders who want to build lives and legacies that actually feel like freedom.

I’ve invested in new ventures like National STOL, an airplane racing series, and I support my wife’s energy medicine practice. But mostly, I protect my peace and pursue purpose.

What I Believe

I believe business can be sacred. That success without alignment is just another form of prison. That we can build things that matter without burning ourselves to the ground.

I’m not here to impress. I’m here to serve, to tell the truth, and to walk with those who are ready to rise.
